Omar Mateen, born Omar Mirr Siddeque in the Village of New Hyde Park in Nassau County, Long Island, New York, United States, right next to NYC, closer to Queens, on November 16, 1986. Omar Mateen's parents had 4 children while they were living in New Hyde Park, Nassau County, Long Island. While living in New Hyde Park, NY, a neighbor said that the young family was so poor that they "didn't have enough money to buy food" and that "the children were getting hungry."
During Omar Mateen's childhood, Omar lived with a family of 6: his mother, Shahla, the woman Donald Trump recently called a bitch, his father, Mirr Seddique Mateen, both Islamic Pashtun immigrants from Afghanistan, who immigrated to America during the Soviet-Afghan War, and his 3 sisters. So these countries say that love between adult men or adult women is so revolting, that when adult men or adult women love one another, that carries the consequence of death, but sex with children of the opposite sex... is okay? Shahla Mateen worked for a spat at a day care center. Mirr Seddique did stuff with stocks, investment, and life insurance. While they remained faithful to the Islamic religion, the Mateens seem pretty moderate. The mother, nor the sisters, wore a headscarf like some Muslims do.
The Mateens had been starving in Queens, NY, where their four children were born, before, in 1991, 5 year old Omar Mateen and his family, moved to Port Saint Lucie, Florida, the Treasure Coast, the home of the Mets, the baseball team, the Mets' spring training camp, and now, a mass murderer, on the southeast coast of Florida. The Mateens moved to Port Saint Lucie, Florida to find work, raise their kids, and build community.
So, 1991, the Mateens are now living in Port St Lucy. Omar made friends as a child at a local mosque, and he built friendships during slumber parties and basketball games, and playing video games.
Omar attended elementary and middle school in St. Lucie County. Omar Mateen’s father dropped his son off at school every day. Being that Omar was his father's only son, it seems like he was a daddy's boy, the apple of his father's eye.
Between the years 1992 - 1999, when Omar was 6 years old to 13 years old, Omar was disciplined at school 31 times, for many mysterious reasons, but one reason being that he hit another student.
In 1994, in the 3rd grade, when Omar was 8 years old, one teacher said that Omar was "very active ... constantly moving, verbally abusive, rude, aggressive;", this same unnamed teacher said that Omar talked "about violence & sex," and that Omar had his "hands all over the place - on other children & in his mouth." ... "On other children & in his mouth". Hmmmm ok.
That same teacher wrote that Omar Mateen and another student were singing the words "marijuana, marijuana" rather than the school's song, "mariposa, mariposa."
Omar's parents, since 1994, had been a party to at least 8 civil lawsuits in St. Lucie and Martin counties. In three cases, the Mateens were dragged to court to settle an alleged debt; in five, they were the plaintiffs. In 1996, Seddique and Shahla sued a couple in small claims court.
In 1996, when Omar was 10 years old, Kathleen Zurich, who taught Mateen in the fourth and fifth grade, characterized him as a bully who called classmates “ugly” and “gay” and often would paint himself as a victim. Kathleen Zurich also said that he had a softer side, so, according to Mrs. Zurich, Omar was like Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde.
During Omar Mateen's middle school years, from 1997 to 1999, Omar Mateen struggled in school, mainly because he couldn't speak English well. He stayed in English for Other Language Speakers throughout middle school.
When Omar was 12 years old, school administrators moved Mateen to another class to avoid conflicts with other students.
In 1998, Seddique sued his employer, Equitable Life Insurance, saying they failed to make good on his own disability insurance policy after he became unable to work following an automobile accident and alleging they “harassed and intimidated” him while he sought payment.
When Omar was 13 years old, to 15, between 1999 and 2001, Omar was suspended for 48 days total for 15 different infractions.
When the Mateens moved to a different school district in Omar's 8th grade year; he was suspended for 25 days there. Omar's middle school teacher wrote a letter to Omar's father, writing that Omar's "attitude and inability to show self-control in the classroom" created "distractions and become a main source of difficulty for him" ... "Unfortunately, Omar has great difficulty focusing on his classwork since he often seeks the attention of his classmates through some sort of noise, disruption or distraction." lol
In 2001, Omar had gone to Martin County High School for at least a year, but when Omar was 14 years old, he got into a fight with a fellow student in his math class at Martin County High School in Stuart, Florida. Omar was convicted in juvenile court of battery. After that fight, Omar Mateen was transferred to St. Lucie West Centennial High School, the school that disruptive students go to.
Omar was constantly demanding attention, either as a goofball or a bully, regularly wearing a gym shirt in high school with his name “O. Mateen”. Addis Wilson, a classmate at Martin County High, said Mateen played football for a short time.
Also in 2001, in the summer, July, Shahla Mateen called the Stuart Police because Mirr Seddique had been attacked by some unknown white male assailant, because of Mirr Seddique's poor English. Mirr Seddique, however, didn't want to talk to the police about the attack.
In the Fall of 2001, 14 year old Omar was going to school in St. Lucie West Centennial High School, where he was constantly bullied. On September 11, 2001, while watching the 9-11 attacks on TV in school, Omar laughed about it. Omar claimed that Osama bin Laden was his uncle. A student said that he himself, and some of the other guys, wanted to perpetuate violence against Omar, for laughint at 9-11, and the teacher seeing the danger Omar was in, grabbed Omar, and pulled him of class, and sent him out to the dean's office.
Omar's father comes to the school, and one classmate remembers watching through a school window as Mirr Seddique approached his son, and then slapped his face... which I thought went against the prophet Muhammad the pedophile's teaching, to never hit somebody in the face.
Omar was suspended from school for 2 days for being happy about the 9-11 attacks. Then, 2 days later, when Omar returned to school, on Sept 13, 2001, for some mysterious infraction, Omar was given a 5 day in-school suspension... a 5 day in school suspension, so whatever he was charge with doing, had to have somewhat big, but not big enough to get suspended again.

Omar, who was overweight, often got picked on. “He was brutally bullied,” said Justin Delancy, who said he rode the school bus with Omar for several years. “[Omar] was a chubby kid and he frequently got bullied about his weight. [Omar] was probably one of the only kids of [Afghan] descent" which "made him stand out.” Justin Delancy said that Omar was "eccentric”, and Justin felt like Omar was "one of those guys that people wanted to bully because he was a pushover. He’d try to get a seat [on the bus], but a bully wouldn't let him sit down, so he couldn’t get a seat. Someone would then slap [Omar] on the back of the head. [Omar] would try to joke and laugh and make fun of himself to get the attention off of himself. But it didn’t work.”
While Omar was still in school, Omar held ordinary teenage jobs, working at a Publix grocery store in nearby Palm City, a Chick-fil-A in Jensen Beach, and a Walgreens in Port St. Lucie.
In January 2002, when Omar was 15 years old, Shahla Mateen called Stuart Police because eggs were being thrown at their house.
Then, when Omar was 16 years old, on December 7, 2002, Omar's mother, Shahla, was arrested for domestic violence, the lamest domestic violence ever. So, during early morning of December 7, 2002, on 800 block of NW Waterlily Place, Jensen Beach, Martin County, Florida, while their 4 kids were sleeping, Mirr Seddique and Shahla were arguing. Mirr Seddique threatened to kill Shahla, so when Mirr Seddique went to brush his teeth, Shahla pulled his hair, and pinched his left bicep so hard that there was a red mark when the police arrived. Shahla was arrested without incident, and booked at the Martin County jail.
Seddique said Shahla had assaulted him before that night. Shahla's bail was set at $5,000. Seddique refused to press charges, and so ultimately, the case was dismissed.
At the time, 16 year old Omar was working at a Publix grocery store as a cashier in Palm City.
Some time in 2003, when Omar was only 16 or 17, he graduated from the Stuart Adult Community High School, located at 1150 SE St. Joseph Ave in Stuart, FL 34996. Omar graduated from Stuart Adult Community High School with a standard diploma, not a GED as others have reported.
Omar also worked at a Chick-fil-A in Jensen Beach and a Walgreens in Port St. Lucie.
On November 16, 2004, Omar Mateen turned 18 years old, and became an adult.
